The 2016 Quiz Olympiad had 12 Specialist Subject quizzes - 6 x High Brow (HB) and 6 x Populist (P). Players could only take part in a maximum of 6 subjects.

The quizzes are in two halves, each of 25 questions.

This quiz includes console, mobile and video games (inc. designers, voice artists, fan conventions, and music – themes, diegetic and non-diegetic), the Internet and world wide web (inc. web TV), digital music (inc. delivery and streaming services), new technology.
